Zaur Khapov is the head coach of FC Lokomotiv
Zaur Khapov has been appointed the head coach of the Lokomotiv football club. Since 2016, Zaur has been the goalkeeper coach of Lokomotiv's main team and has played an important role in working with the club's young players. Marvin Compper will continue preparing the main team for the matches. We wish our coaching staff successful work and a lot of victories!

"The club has made a decision to appoint Zaur Khapov as the head coach of Lokomotiv. According to the RPL regulations, we were obliged to appoint a head coach without the prefix “acting” within 30 days. Zaur Khapov has an A-UEFA coaching license, today the RFU officially allowed coaches with such a license to replace the position of head coach. Zaur Khapov has been working in Lokomotiv's coaching staff since 2016, he has proven himself as a coach of our goalkeepers, worked a lot with the club's youth, which has become an important factor considering our focus on young players. In addition, Zaur has an excellent understanding with Marvin Compper, who will carry out the conditioning of the team for the matches.
Zaur Khapov was born on October 21, 1964. He spent most of his playing career in Alania Vladikavkaz and Lokomotiv Moscow. As part of Alania, Khapov, being the main goalkeeper of the team, won gold medals in the Russian Championship in 1995. In Vladikavkaz, the goalkeeper played more than 200 matches, after that he moved to Lokomotiv, where he won the first railway champion titles in Russian history with the team.
After the end of his career, Zaur Khapov worked as a goalkeeping coach at Loko from 2005 to 2010 with a season break at Amkar Perm. From 2012 to June 2016, he trained goalkeepers at Anji Makhachkala. Since 2016, he has been the goalkeeping coach of Lokomotiv's main team.
