Yuriy Syomin: We did well at the first camp
After the game against the Bulgarian CSKA (1:2), Yuriy Syomin summed up the results of the first training camp in Spain.
- We lacked stamina late in the game, just like in the previous match. It's logical. We have been playing against the teams who are resuming the national championships one month earlier than us. We conceded due to tiredness. We are not in our best shape at this moment.
However, my opinion about this training camp is good. We have played three games against some very serious sides, and managed to test our young talents. Ivan Lapshov palyed central defender, and this was extremely valuable experience for him. Still, there's a lot to be fixed both in defence and attack.
- Why did Barinov miss the last friendly?
- He complained about some muscular distress. We decided to keep him off the pitch and let Galanin fill in.
- A large group of footballers didn't play during the first camp. Are you worried?
- Injuries are part of the job. There must be substitutions available, but our subs are yet not as good.
- What's your take on the first camp, generally?
- I have no questions to the players. The team worked well. This work will have an effect later.
