Yuriy Syomin: We need more stability
Lokomotiv head coach Yuriy Syomin summed up the 1:1 draw with FC Ural in the Premier League’s Gameweek 15.
- The team played two different halves. In the first half we were the dominant side, by far, only lacking clear chances. In the second one we scored a goal – having put a lot of effort, as usual. So it was utterly unprofessional of the lads to let it slip in the end. There is a whole bag of tricks for the final minutes. Yet, we have a draw, and Ural hardly created anything of note.
- What do you think of Galadzhan’s debut?
- Artyom is full of promise. He appeared at a complicated moment and did well inside the box. He is capable of making decisions, but it takes time to develop consistency. I had a hope he would score. There was action in the penalty box - he could have.
- Did you get the impression that Miranchuk’s performance has deteriorated?
- Aleksey needs to sort himself out and think of his attitude towards the game. To me it seems he is confused. We allow him to play and show his worth. I like his football style but don’t see him moving anywhere forward, as of yet.
- How would you sum up Lokomotiv’s performance for the first half-season?
- We will draw conclusions after the two remaining games. Shortly, we need to build on stability. Now we have good matches or bad matches. So there’s a lot to do.
