Syomin: We enjoyed the game

Lokomotiv head coach Yuriy Syomin summarizes the game against Dynamo (3:0) in Gameweek 12 of the ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Championship.

- I liked the game a lot. I enjoyed every minute of it. The boys played right, there was a lot of interaction. I think we made our supporters happy.

- Were Lokomotiv that good, or were Dynamo that bad?

- Lokomotiv were very good, and I cannot comment on Dynamo.

- How are you going to keep this winning spirit?

- Of course, the international break is not timely but there's nothing we can do about it. Our players are going to their national teams in a good mood. The break could be at hand. Farfan and Lysov will have time to recover, Ari and Corluka are recovering too.

- What's wrong with Farfan?

- He hurt the calves in the game against Fastav. We did MRI after the game, it showed he wouldn't help us against Dynamo so we let him go to the national team. If local doctors get him fit against Argentina, it will be a miracle. Farfan really wants to cap and go to the World Cup.

- Lokomotiv beat every Moscow club in the first leg.

- We used to beat them all in the old days even when we didn't win the title.

- Why did you field Rotenberg in the last minutes?

- Ignatyev told us he was experiencing some discomfort in the groin. We asked him to keep playing while he could. Rotenberg came on and played perfectly. It is possible he will get more playing time in the next games.

- Fernandes played amazingly. Don't you think he deserves a call-up to the national squad?

- He has been playing at the highest level for some time already. Manuel is one of the leaders of the team. I would call him up.

- What can you tell the Dynamo supporters?

- I can only wish them patience. Dynamo have played many good games: against Zenit, Spartak, CSKA, but sometimes it so happens you cannot claim points. Many things inside and outside the pitch can influence the result. Maybe, something is not going right but Dynamo are not in their place right now.
