Shishkin: No time to spare at the camp
Lokomotiv defender Roman Shishkin summarized the 1:1 draw with Lorient and told about the Austrian camp.
“Yesterday we skipped one training session because of the downpour. Today, due to bad weather, our friendly could have been cancelled if managers had not found a provisional venue. True, the park was tricky, but still you could play on it. Good the game was not called off.
As for the camp, we often travel to Austria for pre-season training. Here we feel comfortable and know our way around. The lads do everything they are used to doing. There is almost no time to spare, and even if there happens to be, there is not much you can do here to while it away. If we run just one session tomorrow, then there will be more time for rest.
It’s hard to say how well the team are prepared for the new campaign. It will become clear as soon as the title-race kicks off. But so far everything goes according to the plan.”
