Syomin: No quality in the box after crosses

At the post-match press conference, Lokomotiv’s head coach Yuriy Syomin went over the encounter with Ufa (0:1) in Gameweek 7 of the Premier League.

- In the first half we looked bleak in attack. We dominated, however the team did not create real goal scoring chances. There was no quality in the penalty box after crosses and lobbed balls. In the second half our attack improved but we failed to capitalize on it.

Of course, it will be hard for a while. We have to brood over all this and try to understand why it is happening. We are going to deal with the matter very soon.

- What was the reason you substituted Skuletic after the opening half?

- Skuletic is a goal poacher. Crosses and chips kept coming, but Petar was not up to it. Nevertheless, let’s not blame it all on one man. It is a general problem.

- Why was Pejcinovic chosen to take the spot kick?

- We have two penalty specialists. It’s Samedov and Pejcinovic. Probably, Samedov did not feel confident enough so he let Nemanja take it. I believe they decided it on the pitch.
