Lokomotiv Sign Petar Skuletic
FC Lokomotiv have sealed a move of the striker Petar Skuletic from the Serbian club Partizan. The 24-year old forward signed a 4-year contract with the Railwaymen, taking #25 shirt. Lokomotiv Sporting Director Kirill Kotov has commented on the signing:
- Following the departure of Dame Ndoye we needed a classic centre-forward, a clinical striker. Petar Skuletic who is the current Best Scorer in the Serbian Superliga is exactly what we’ve been looking for. He has good aerial strength, shoots confidently with both feet, shields the ball well, and has great pace for a person of his size. We are confident that Petar will be able to blend with the team before the season restarts, and become a good reinforcement to Lokomotiv’s attack.
Player’s Bio
Petar Skuletic was born on 29 June, 1990 in Danilovgrad.
He started learning football in FC Partizan where he was a leader among his contemporaries, and had been called up to the Serbian National Teams of different ages.
His first professional club was FC Teleoptik, Partizan’s feeder team. In 2011, Skuletic made another important step when he moved to Vojvodina.
There Skuletic quickly rose from a substitute left forward to a main striker, a spearhead of all attacks.
Partizan couldn’t leave their homegrown talent’s success unnoticed, and in January 2014 offered him a four-year deal.
At Partizan, Petar immediately started scoring and assisting. This season he’s been unstoppable with the goals in the Champions’ League Qualification, in the Europa League Group Stage, in the National Cup draw, and of course in the Serbian Superliga where he notched 14 goals in 15 games.
