Draw With Terek
Lokomotiv have drawn against Terek on Gameweek 5 of the Russian Football Championship.
The top game of Gameweek 5, Lokomotiv vs Terek at the Railwaymen's ground had an unusual start-up. Our players appeared in an unusual manner: the team were wearing jerseys with the fans' wishes printed on them. These wishes had been posted online in Lokomotiv's social network communities. Fans were delighted. They used the opportunity to unfold a colourful banner to mark Dmitriy Tarasov's 100th appearance for the Railroaders.
The game began at a steady pace, with Lokomotiv creating more chances. Niasse had a scoring opportunity in the 9th minute, and another one later.
In half-time another special event took place in the Family Area. Forward Maxim Grigoryev came to visited the young fans. He enjoyed the kids’ company and did not leave anyone without an autograph and a photo. The player even took part in a soap bubbles show.
The second half started with the hosts' attempt to open the scoring. Niasse won the aerial battle and passed the ball down to Tarasov who smashed it into the left corner. But the visitors' keeper Godzyur made an incredible save. Miranchuk, Ndinga, Samedov and Skuletic had their chances too, but Terek's defence was tight. Late into the match, Rodolfo made a rough tackle against Petar Skuletic in the area but the referee ruled it legal and awarded Loko with just a corner kick.
Lokomotiv drew against Terek and secured the third place on the tournament table.
