Draw with Beijing

The friendly between Lokomotiv and FC Beijing Goang arranged at the Spanish camp ends in a draw.

Lokomotiv began the big football day playing Beijing Goang. This fixture witnessed Dmitriy Tarasov return to active duty since September last year when our midfielder picked up a knee injury leading to surgery. Dmitriy appeared for 67 minutes and fared fairly well.

As for the match itself, we had two different halves. Throughout the first one, Lokomotiv bossed the game. Mere 9 minutes into it, Portnyagin got a shot aiming for the far post of Beijing goal, but the ball skipped past. Another excellent try by Farfan almost ended in the opposition net: he wriggled from a defender but the keeper was up to it.

In the second half the trend was bucked. Inside ten minutes following the break, the Chinese side had three one-on-ones with Abaev and set up five other sure chances in rapid succession. One of them did go in as Yu Dabao converted a cross from the wing.

Lokomotiv leveled the score closer to the final whistle through Artyom Galadzhan, who recorded yet another goal to his name at this camp. A few minutes later the keeper made a mistake again, but the defence rescued, clearing the ball from the line. The teams tied 1:1.
