Draw With Amkar

Lokomotiv and Amkar ended up in a tie in Gameweek 10 of the ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Championship.

Lokomotiv faced a selection crisis before the fixture with Amkar. Corluka and Shiskin were sidelined due to injuries, their positions to be filled from the beginning by Mykhalyk and Yanbaev. While Skuletic and Henty remained on the bench, Kolomeytsev and Miranchuk started in the forward roles. Denisov and Barinov played in midfield.

And it was Dmitriy who came closest to scoring in the first half. Barinov carved out his chance through a set piece, taking one touch before he fired. Selikhov saved, though. In a few minutes, however, the halfback asked to be substituted and went off for treatment. Fernandes filled the central midfield slot – he made his 50th appearance for Loko.

The second half was not much different. It was a spirited play, full of fight but short on scoring chances. Only the final minutes witnessed both teams assault on the opposition's goal. Both keepers had to survive a nervois spell, though the shots on goal were not so many.

Amkar and Lokomotiv failed to score and shared points.
