Youth Rounding Into Form

Lokomotiv youth team came on top against Krasnodar in the Russian Football Championship’s Gameweek 5.

Lokomotiv juniors are gradually finding their legs. In the last League’s challenge the Railwaymen defeated Krylia Sovetov. This time around we were two up already by the middle of the first half. Just a couple of minutes into it, taking advantage of Krasnodar’s defensive slip, Rybchinskiy fired past the keeper from close range. In a short while Galadzhan finished off a cross from Lysov.

Despite the woeful start the home team did not give up trying. Before half-time the hosts managed to reduce the deficit to one goal through Ignatyev, whose free-kick was immaculate.

In the second half Lokomotiv changed their style a bit and focused more on the defensive side, looking to strike on the breaks. One of such counters led to a goal scored by Rybchinskiy. He played a one-two with Galanin on the edge of the penalty area and then chipped the keeper.

Our youth squad take second consecutive win and climb to eighth place.
