Maicon: “For the first time I`ve earned two penalty kicks in one game”

Goalkeeper of Lokomotiv Guilherme had played an excellent game against Terek (4:0) and deserved the praise from the head coach Jose Couceiro.

- Difficult game, - says Guilherme. – There were quite a few busy situations near our goal, but I didn`t worry. And not because I have iron nerves – simply all the team was calm, and it allowed to play touchy-feely.

- You made a few saves, which, I think, inspired you and your team mates.

- I`ve caught a boldness. Last time I had so much work in the game against Rubin.

Don`t think that when the result was 2:0 the game had became easy for us. Even by such an advantage any missed goal could overthrow the game. So it was very important for us not to allow the opponent to score a goal. And when we had scored the third it became easier for us. The final result, I guess, have brought the joy to all Lokomotiv supporters.



Brazilian Maicon is also one of the impressive figures of the match.

- I can`t remember when I earned two penalty kicks in one game, - says Maicon. – Not, it had never been. In both cases I appeared on the kick position and the opponent had no choice and could only foul.

- Did you have a wish to realize the second penalty kick?

- No, I even didn`t think about it. We have regular penalty kickers. And to kick from eleven meter point is their right. I`m glad that I could bring the win for the team. Thanks to all, who supported us in front of TV screen, and particularly to these foolhardy guys, who came to Grozniy for supporting us.
