Maicon: We started to win, and that’s what matters
Lokomotiv striker Marques Maicon sums up the 3:1 win over Krylia Sovetov in the round of sixteen of the Russian Cup.
- You have scored your second goal in two matches. Are you coming into form?
- It was a bit of luck. It’s been a lengthy period since I last played full-time. I have to do more and gain form. But I am very glad I was able to help my team. I came on as sub in the game against CSKA and notched a goal. Today I was on the starting list. Both times our side came out on top, and that’s what matters. Congratulations to the team and the fans! We have to carry on in the same vein and work our way up the Russian Premier League table.
- How do the lads feel on the back of two wins?
- Surely, the lads feel good. The team could not claim a victory for a while, now we win for the second time in a row. We have to play in the same manner and maintain the winning streak.
