Player Of The Month For March

The voting to determine the best player of the month for March has ended.

According to the polls conducted at the club’s official website and in the VKontakte official community, the MVP title goes to Marinato Guilherme. The keeper has the support of 1,698 out of the total 3,730 voters which is almost 46%.

In March, the Brazilian made four appearances. In the Russian Cup quarterfinal match against Rubin, Guilherme kept his goal intact and stopped two penalties in a shoot-out. In the three League games against Rostov, Arsenal, and Mordovia the goalkeeper conceded only once.

Besides, Guilherme took part in a public event that involved Lokomotiv. On 25 March Marinato and his friend and a teammate Marques Maicon attended a kids football camp ‘Lokomotiv-Angelball’, played passing squares with the children, and signed autographs.

Defender Vedran Corluka is the runner-up with 1,222 votes. The Croatian has been playing on a hallmark high level, and has been called up to the national team. The winter signing Petar Skuletic enjoys the support of 298 voters, who obviously value his goal against Rostov.
