Lokomotiv Practicing Again
On Thursday, Lokomotiv gathered on their base in Bakovka for the first practice after the extra days-off. This means the preparation for the derby against Dinamo has started. Following the absence of several internationals, Miodrag Bozovic called up the youth team players to fill in the vacant positions.
The foreign players from warm countries were a bit surprised that there’s snow in Moscow in the end of March, while the Russians again were worried about the pitch quality.
- The weather is not so hot, looks like it’s February, - summarises defender Maxim Belyaev. - I hope it won’t harm the turf in Khimki where Dinamo are hosting us. I’m sure the blizzard is temporary, everyone’s waiting for the warm days. A good turf is a warrant of combination play and a spectacular game.
- What’s special about a practice when the international players leave?
- In fact, you have a short pause in the championship. You have time for a more thorough work, especially when you have many practices before a game. Many young players turn up. Besides, when the leaders leave, the overall number of players on the pitch is smaller and we feel more attention is coming for the coaches.
