Lokomotiv Agrees To Cut Salaries
The players at Lokomotiv have given up 40% of their salaries while the championship has been suspended.
Vedran Corluka, Lokomotiv’s captain:
The coronavirus pandemic has hit the lifestyles and economics of all countries. We have always cared and have great respect for the people working in the railroad industry, they support us. Football, as well as the rest of sports, has halted and the players around the world agree to cut salaries while their championships are put on hold. Our team considers this move necessary so we decided to give up 40% of our salaries until the pandemic ends and the championship resumes.
The management of FC Lokomotiv appreciates this move and thanks the players and the coaches for understanding.
