Lokomotiv Beat Videoton
Lokomotiv Beat Videoton in a friendly at a Spanish training camp.
Videoton had two games planned for February 3. A couple of hours after the fixture with Lokomotiv the Hungarian side were to face Krasnodar, so the Railwaymen saw their opponent experimenting with the lineup.
As for Lokomotiv, Corluka and Pejcinovic returned to the top 11 giving the squad even more muscle. The difference in class was clear early into the game. Vladislav Ignatyev impressed again - he set up for Maicon after taking a throw-in.
Minutes later Maicon again was in a positon to score but his last touch sent the ball into the crossbar. Minutes later, Vitaliy Denisov his the post. Not long before the whistle play became more relaxed allowing Videoton create a chance after playing a corner.
At this point the first half came to an end. The slim Beatris Torres Corral who was refereeing the game gave no stoppage time.
At half-time, Yuriy Syomin brought in Abaev, Yanbaev, Galanin, and Portnyagin. After taking their time to look around, the team doubled the lead on 58 minutes. Maicon earned a penalty that was converted by Miranchuk.
Then came the substitution time. The coach replaced nearly every player, leaving only Nemanja Pejcinovic. So the difficulties in attack were logical. The teams tried hard but failed to threaten each other's goal.
On Sunday Lokomotiv will play against Shonan Bellmare from Japan. Loko-TV will air it live.
