Lokomotiv Beats Osijek
Lokomotiv has beaten Osijek in a friendly in Spain.
Lokomotiv started their second training camp with a game against the Croatian side NK Osijek. Hours before the game the Railwaymen signed with Jefferson Farfan, but the Peruvian international only watched the game from the stands.
The teams started the game in a high tempo and could have scored an opener in the third minute. Vladislav Ignatyev had a go from seven metres but hit the goalkeeper. Vlad was one of the best in the first half and it seemed logical it was him who eventually converted our dominance into a goal. On 32 minutes he finished a perfect cross from Vitaliy Denisov from the left.
Osijek created a chance shortly before the whistle. Boban intended to head a half-volley but the ball went wide.
In halftime, Osijek substituted the entire squad, while Lokomotiv got away with only three changes - Kochenkov, Prudnikov, and Kasaev. The Railroaders controlled the ball most of the half but Osijek grabbed the initiative by the end of the game. Soon they capitalized on possession and scored an equalizer.
However, the Croatians soon ran to get the ball out of their own net again. This time it was Galadzhan who scored a winner after his first encounter with the ball in this game. Our striker pressed the opponent in the box, stripped him of the ball and sent it past the keeper. Lokomotiv won 2:1.
