Kverkvelia Joins Lokomotiv
Defender Solomon Kverkvelia has signed a contract with the Red-Greens.
The Georgian international spent half of the last season on a loan spell at Loko. Today the def has sealed a full-fledged membership by signing a four-year deal.

Solomon Kverkvelia was born on February 6, 1992 in Samtredia, Georgia. He was blessed to be a pro by his father who was an active fan. At the age of 7 Solomon played for the local Gloria, at 13 moved to the capital Tbilisi to join first Dinamo and later Tengiz Sulakvelidze's Academy.
In 2009 the player was scouted by Zenit and signed with the club but only played for the youth team. After a game against Rubin Kazan youth team the Tatar scouts approached the Georgian and on July 17, 2011 he made his debut for their main squad at the Russian Cup round of 32. At Rubin, the defender made his first appearances in the Russian Premier League and the Europa League. By the end of his stay in Kazan, Solomon had notched 111 appearances and 3 goals.
The defender has earned caps for the junior and youth Georgia teams. On March 5th, 2014 Solomon was first called up to the country's main squad. On February 23, 2017 he was loaned out to Lokomotiv. After 15 appearances he earned a starting place and was named one of the best players of the Red-Green squad that season.
