Igor Korneyev Appointed Lokomotiv's New Sporting Director
Igor Korneyev has assumed his duties as the new sporting director of Lokomotiv. We wish him and the Scouting Department sucess!

Igor Vladimirovich Korneyev
Born on September 4, 1967
Igor Korneyev started up in the Spartak Academy. In 1986 he moved to CSKA to win the USSR Championship in 1991 and was named the season's Best Player. Soon Korneyev signed a three-year deal with Espanol and then was scouted by Barcelona. Between 1995 and 2003 Igor played in the Netherlands for the local Heerenveen, Feyenoord (and helped it win the UEFA Cup), and NAC Breda.
After quitting the pro career Igor worked in the Feyenoord Academy, was the Russia national team's assistant coach, and Zenit's Sporting Director.
