Igor Cherevchenko: The team have the winning spirit
The guest of #OurCherkizovoLIVE show, Lokomotiv head coach Igor Cherevchenko summarized the game against Dynamo (1:1) of Gameweek 3 of the Russian Football Championship.
- I congratulate all of Lokomotiv's fans on the first home game of the season. They gave us an immense support. Probably, the result was somewhat discouraging but the wins are ahead.
- In the first half Dynamo had the initiative.
- They did have the initiative in midfield but they had almost no chances. We conceded an unnecessary goal from a set piece. Tomorrow we'll analyze it.
- Why did you change Boussoufa for Miranchuk in half-time?
- In the first half we had problems in getting hold of the ball in the front. You can't do much just defending your half. In half-time we asked the guys to push the ball away from their goal.
- How do you find Tarasov who has just served his disqualification?
- We had planned to let him start as soon as the game against Anji was over. Dima is a fighter.
- Give your evaluation of Ndinga's performance.
- It's the second time he came in, and again he did it perfectly. He's an experienced player, and his high level is obvious.
- In the second half you made a substitution that has become usual: Maicon for Skuletic.
- Maicon has great speed that had to help him keep bothering Dynamo's back four and make our play more aggressive.
- What do you think about Dynamo's chances this season?
- They will continue speeding up. They have a great alloy of experience and youth.
- What about Lokomotiv's performance?
- It was a hard game for the guys but they do have the winning spirit. In the end of the game they kept running forward hoping to score a winner.
