Igor Cherevchenko: It’s nice to beat Spartak
Lokomotiv head coach Igor Cherevchenko has summarized the game against Spartak (2:1) of Gameweek 12 of the Russian Championship.
- The game was hard for both teams. But I’m thinking not about the victory now, but about the injured players. Tarasov has been taken to hospital for NMR check. It looks like Pejcinovic has injured the adductor.
- What was the plan for the last minutes of the game?
- We needed to score a third goal. Spartak started finding spaces. We decided to field Grigoryev who has good pace. Besides, Kasaev had done a great deal of work and got tired.
- Are you happy with Miranchuk’s performance?
- I don’t want to discuss it now, while it’s fresh. Tomorrow we are going to analyze the game and start preparing for Besiktas.
- Did you like the game on the whole?
- Yes, I liked how all our lines performed.
- Was it a game of principle for you?
- For me no, but it’s always nice to beat Spartak.
- How do you manage to keep calm in any situation?
- It’s nice when everything’s calm. When everybody minds their own business, when there’re no arguments and quarrels, it all influences the quality of play in a positive way.
