Igor Cherevchenko: The first goal altered the game
Lokomotiv manager Igor Cherevchenko summed up the 1:2 loss to Rostov during Gameweek 27 of the Russian Football Championship.
- No win for us this time. We knew how the other side would play but we conceded early on. The team had been warned that Rostov would try to come on strong in the opening 15 minutes. The first goal altered the game. The second one was scored on the stroke of half-time. It is hard to get back into the game after the break, being down 0:2. We braced up, became more aggressive and eventually slotted home, but it was not enough.
- Logashov looked all worked up.
- He had just taken the pitch against Amkar after a half-year hiatus, so he lacks some sharpness. A seasoned footballer like that should keep calm, though.
- With Pejcinovic out, did it damage the game for you?
- No, I don’t see it that way. No one is irreplaceable. Each man on our squad is ready to start a match. You cannot put a defeat down to one footballer missing.
