Igor Cherevchenko: ‘The team will stay at the base overnight’
On June 17, the Lokomotiv players went through a medical check. In the evening, they gathered at the base in Bakovka for the first practice.
There were 17 players present. Among them was Maxim Grigoryev who returned to Lokomotiv from a loan to Rostov. The players who represented their countries recently were given several days-off.
Lokomotiv manager Igor Cherevchenko has shared his impressions of the first working day after the vacation in an interview with the Press Service.
- What is the first practice after the break for the footballers?
- First of all, it’s a celebration. They are all back together, discussing their vacation. Second, it is the exercises designed to warm them up. The players’ condition is normal, the vacation was shorter than in winter. We checked out their condition and everybody was satisfied, both the coaches and the players.
- When will the internationals join?
- By June 26 we will be 100% staffed. We awarded the guys several days-off, many of them played just days ago, on June 14th. They have to take a rest.
- The schedule is impressive. You have two practices almost every day. It looks like a full-scale training camp.
- It is. Count it for the first training camp. On some days the guys will stay here overnight. Nothing special, it’s their job.
