Guilherme: We cannot just win confidently, we love to suffer

Marinato Guilherme’s emotions from the game against Akhmat (1:0) where he saved a penalty and was named the MVP.

- I always say that only victory matters. We haven’t won in a while. I’m happy I have helped the team to win the game.

- Is the result fair?

- Had the game resulted in a draw, it would have been unfair. We played well and could have scored another goal. We deserved this win.

- In the episode with the penalty, do you think you left the goal too early?

- It’s hard to say, I’d call it a fifty-fifty. I didn’t expect Vizeu to keep the ball infield. His attempt was good, he hit the crossbar. Saba was defending the goal and the ball hit his hand. This happens in football but what matters in the win.

- Tell us how you saved the penalty?

- I had chosen the corner before Vizeu had a go but he centered the ball and the strike was not very powerful. When we dive, we always extend a leg - and I managed to make this move. When he ran to the ball I remembered that in 2011 I saved a penalty against Akhmat.

- When will we see the Lokomotiv that wins 3:0?

- This rarely happens. I’ve been here for a long time and can recall just a handful of such victories. We cannot just win confidently, we love to suffer.
