Fernandes: I feel needed by the team

- Manu, we are so glad that you are a staple of the squad again, that you have re-discovered your scoring boots…

- There is always the adaptation issue – a time when one may experience certain difficulties, but now everything seems OK. I feel needed by the team, I am self-confident again.

- Those two goals in the opening minutes – was it in the tactical plan to score early on?

- It is always cool to make a strong start and find the net minutes from the kick-off. And so much cooler if you grab an early brace! Yes, the aggressive beginning was part of the strategy.

- You played alongside Miranchuk in attack, and together with Maicon now. Did you notice any difference?

- Yes, actually I did. Tonight I felt comfortable alongside Maicon: he has the knack for creating space behind and lots of pace. As an attacking midfielder, one will definitely enjoy providing service into the penalty area with Marques around.

- Now when the international break comes along …

- I do not think about my chances of being capped. Now there is time for the club, for still more work and practice.
