Ezekiel Henty: I can play in any attacking position

Soon after Ezekiel Henty inked a deal with the Railwaymen, the newcomer headed straight to the club's museum. The player was amazed by its size and the amount of exhibits it had. He was especially impressed by the video of Lokomotiv's recent victory in the Russian Cup.

- I'm happy to be at Lokomotiv. I know it's one of Russia's top-clubs. I feel honoured to be its part.

- Could you tell a bit more about your career?

- My career started in AC Milan. They loaned me out twice, and it wasn't the most pleasant experience. However, the last loan to Olimpija who offered me a contract soon were a milestone. I don't want to say the last six months were fantastic but I really have done a great amount of work and made a great leap forward in my development. So here I am now, a Lokomotiv player.

- Do you know Oumar Niasse?

- I don't know him personally but I watched his highlights videos when I studied the team. I noted how important he was for Lokomotiv.

- Can I say you feel great responsibility because the fans see you as a replacement for Niasse?

- My goal is to play well and score many goals. I know Lokomotiv is a top-club, I know my mentality fits well here. I am ready to become a top-player. I am here to reach success with the team. This is my main responsibility. I will do my job professionally.

- In Slovenia's PrvaLiga you have been really impressive lately but you mostly played a winger. What is your favourite position, after all?

- I like all three positions. I can play in any of them.

- What are your first impressions of Russia?

- Oh, I have only taken a very brief look around. I only remember big traffic jams. And the cold. But I like it here!

- What are your goals at Lokomotiv?

- My priority here now is to make the coach confident about me so that he would prefer me for the starting IX. Of course, I have come here to reach good results, play well and become part of this squad. I know Lokomotiv wants to qualify for the Champions League and fight for the national title. I have to help reach all these goals. As for my personal plans, I want to score as many goals as possible. And of course I want to entertain the fans! I'll do what I can.
