First pushover!

Loko started promptly, taking the initiative from the very first minute. At first Atletico managed to repel The Railwaymen’s attacks, sometimes at the price of foul game. Anyway, in the 12th minute came the opener! Vyacheslav Podberezkin scored his fist goal for Lokomotiv. The 19-year-old stopped the ball deflected by the opposing goalkeeper and powered it into the net!

In just a minute Loko doubled the score: Magomed Ozdoev got the ball inside the opposing penalty area, crossed along the goal line allowing Felipe Caicedo have his second goal this year! The Railwaymen kept on attacking, with Atletico seldom trying to edge ahead. But Loko’s keeper Filtsov was okay and once even had to stop Ailton’s dangerous strike.

After half-time Loko continued to tear the opponent’s defence which managed to hold the storm for some time. In the 64th minute Jose Couceiro made five substitutions which proved to be successful. Dmitry Sychev entered the penalty box where the ball was cleared by the defender. But Senijad Ibricic caught the ball and hammered it in the net.

But that was not the end. Dmitry Sychev crossed the ball to Victor Obinna in the penalty area, the Nigerian international raced round the goalkeeper and scored a winner.

4:0 – Loko’s first big victory this year!
