Experimenting With Shonan

New tactics, debut games for Farfan and Margasov - see what else Lokomotiv suprised their fans with in the third friendly at the camp.

The game against the Japanese side was special. First, Jefferson Farfan made his debut for the new club. The Peruvian international played 45 minutes, looked good and could have finished off a promising attack after Maicon's cross but was unsuccessful with his last touch. After half-time, Syomin fielded defender Timofey Margasov who had signed with Lokomotiv less than 24 hours before that.

Lokomotiv were also trying a new tactics. The team haven't played three defenders this season yet. Fullbacks Vitaliy Denisov and Renat Yanbaev immediately improved their attacking performance. Yanbaev and Barinov showed good understanding when the latter moved sideways to help the teammate.

On the air, we announced signing a full contract with Igor Denisov who have been playing at Lokomotiv under a loan agreement.

Despite Lokomotiv's activity the first half saw few scoring opportunities and no goals. The Railwaymen's opportunity came through Yanbaev who tried his luck from the edge of the box, Shonan responded with Dinei's attempt. The keepers saved in both episodes.

In the second half Syomin fielded 11 new players, Shonan also refreshed the lineup and started playing more aggressively. The last ten minutes of the game made the result. Shunsuke and Seiya capitalized on the mess in the box twice and set the final scoreline - 0:2.

On Monday Lokomotiv are playing the last game of the camp against SønderjyskE from Denmark.
