Jefferson Farfan Signs With Lokomotiv
Peru national team midfielder Jefferson Farfan has inked a deal with Lokomotiv. The player is now in Marbella with the Railroaders and is ready to resume training.
Jefferson Farfan is a universal player with an experience of playing in various positions, though he finds it most comfortable on the right midfield. At Lokomotiv Jefferson received #8 jersey.

Biography
Jefferson Farfan, midfielder
Born on October 26, 1984 in Peru, Jefferson first joined the academy of Deportivo Municipal where he spent five years. In 1998 the 14-year-old was transferred to Alianza Lima. Merely two years later the youngster made his debut at the main team and quickly became one of the key players.
With Farfan in the lineup, Alianza Lima won the title three times. Jefferson was named the Player of the Year in Peru.
In 2004 Farfan moved to Europe. The young talent caught the eye of Guus Hiddink who then managed the Dutch side PSV. After Farfan joined the Red-Whites, they monopolized the first spot in the Netherlands.
During four seasons with PSV Farfan scored 67 goals in 170 games, PSV won the league four times in a row, plus the Cup. In Season 2004/2005 the Dutch advanced to the Champions League semifinals.
In October 2008, Farfan signed with Schalke 04 in a move that would make his the team's leader. With Farfan in the lineup, Schalke won the Cup and the Super Cup. In the Bundesliga, they were the runners-up once and came third twice. In Season 2010/2011 Farfan took The Miners to the Champions League semifinals.
In 2015, Farfan signed with Al-Jazeera to win the President's Cup.
Farfan has made 509 appearances in all club competitions so far, and scored 158 goals. With the Peru national team he scored 22 goals in 75 games and came third in the Copa America.
