Jefferson Farfan: We are getting better

Jefferson Farfan's debut in the Russian championship has been a success: he scored a winner in an away game.

- I want to dedicate it to everyone who believes in me and supports me. These are first of all my close ones. I am thankful to the team and the fans for their support. My communication with the team has been growing and I'm happy with how we understand each other on the pitch. It takes time. I feel I'm improving every day.

- What about the team in general?

- We're getting better. I think we have shown ourselves as a real team today, and followed the plan.

- In fact you acted as a forward. Great to see you are a universal player.

- I tell you what - I had been thinking about taking multiple shots at the goal. The coach said we had to make attempts and to value the chances. I witnessed how masterfully the opponents closed ranks stripping you of almost any chance. That's why we had to use every opportunity to score. I saw the uncovered corner and decided to have a go. And I was lucky.
