Denisov: It’s too early to draw conclusions after Gameweek 5
Lokomotiv fullback Vitaliy Denisov has joined the #OurCherkizovoLIVE studio to share his opinion on the game against Terek (0:0).
‘We were negligent in the first half. Had to spend time on pulling ourselves together, then increased pace and started controlling the ball by the end of the first half. We knew Terek would be play the underdog. After the break we played more aggressively, we were trying to serve the ball to our forwards and make flank crosses. Alas, we wasted our opportunities. The Terek players marked me and Alan Kasaev closely, denied us any space. You know, you always risk losing the ball when you try to feint two or three opponents.
In the episode when Skuletic fell in the area, I honestly don’t understand why the referee ruled the way he did. Petar was kicked on the feet from behind, that’s dead sure.
Only five gameweeks have passed, it’s too early to draw conclusions. The main struggle is ahead. All teams will make mistakes and lose points.’
