Dame Ndoye: 'It was a hard choice'
Last night, minutes before the transfer window shut, Lokomotiv striker Dame Ndoye signed a long-term contract with Hull City. We at FC Lokomotiv would like to thank Dame for the time spent with the Railwaymen. We respect his choice. He always stressed he wanted to play in England, and now we wish him to demonstrate impressive performance and high efficiency.
Today Dame Ndoye published a statement on the Lokomotiv official website.
'I have long dreamed of playing in England, it has been the goal of my entire European career. I have been pursuing it while playing in Portugal, Greece, Denmark, and Russia. It was really a hard decision. But I'm turning 30 soon. I ask you to understand me. I believe in myself and my strength. Lokomotiv Moscow is the club that will stay forever in my heart and my memory. Here I scored important goals, enjoyed football and life, and made good friends. I know the fans loved me - I loved them, too. I was honest!
I am thankful to the club, the team, the fans, to everybody around me. I wish the guys to succeed. Saying many warm words to all of you! I will surely follow Lokomotiv!
