Cherevchenko: Congratulations to Amkar

Lokomotiv head coach Igor Cherevchenko has commented to the post-match press-conference on the round of 16 game against Amkar (0:1) in the Russian Cup.

- Amkar have demonstrated good play, they did well in defence. The players had promised to congratulate their head coach on his birthday and they did. I congratulate Amkar on their deserved victory. It's just impossible to play 90 minutes having just one real opportunity. It appeared when Niasse came in. We had just one shot on goal in the first half and three shots on goal in the second half. But that's OK, the life goes on. Alas, we have been knocked out from the Russian Cup but we're still playing in two tournaments, these are the national championship and the Europa League. We will draw conclusions and start getting ready for the coming games.

- How did you like Barinov's performance? Don't you think he made too many mistakes?

- You shouldn't judge so strictly. He's a young guy, and he started. Everybody makes mistakes. The more experienced players also made mistakes today. For the first appearance he played really well.

- Lokomotiv's lineup has been really reshuffled after the latest game against Rostov.

- Many players have accumulated weariness, the schedule has been really hectic. We have many players injured and I was really afraid that there will be more. I say it again: we don't have main players and reserve players, we have one roster.
