Cherevchenko: I wouldn’t say Amkar looked stale
Lokomotiv’s head coach Igor Cherevchenko summed up the Premier League clash with Amkar that took place during Gameweek 25.
- Today you played Logashov in the position of Denisov: was he up to it, in your opinion?
- We kept a clean sheet that says that he was up to the mark. There could be no complaints or remarks about the lads.
- Amkar had faced Zenit on Wednesday. Do you think it had an impact on the Perm side's performance?
- Even 72 hours can sometimes be enough to recover. I wouldn’t say that Amkar looked stale. Perm has a good bunch of players with excellent physical attributes.
- What are Lokomotiv’s objectives for the Russian League run-in?
- As I mentioned already, we go fixture by fixture. We will draw conclusions on the 21st of May when the Season’s last week is over.
- Loko's goal-scoring record is rather low. Why?
- As far as I remember, Lokomotiv have always played like that, scoring little goals and conceding few. This is the squad’s distinctive style. Naturally, we have been working on it and will continue to do so.
