Andrey Ivanov: “I`m happy that my goal has ensured the win of Lokomotiv”

Defender Andrey Ivanov, who became the author of the victorious goal in the match against Luch Energia, has given an interview to the club`s press office.

- Frankly speaking the game wasn`t easy for us, - remarked Andrey. - Luch Energiya is a persistent and perky team, which imposed the struggle on each part of the pitch. But it`s good that we have won and moved on, because the result remains in a history.

- Did Luch surprise you?

- In principle – no. We thoroughly prepare for each opponent and before this game coaches told us that the main quality of Luch is obstinacy. So the most important was not to lose in fights, though in some episodes Luch players gained.

- Which emotions did you experience when you had known that you were in a line-up?

- I came to Lokomotiv to become the permanent player of the main squad. At first stage I couldn`t do it due to injuries and surgeries, but I worked a lot on trainings and God has rewarded me for the work.  

- Match against Luch Energiya has become the second for you in the main squad. And in this game you have scored your first goal for Lokomotiv. Did you expect it?

- Surely I didn`t expect. However tomorrow I will have to forget about it and to prepare to our next game against Rubin. The most important is that my goal has ensured the win of Lokomotiv. If I had scored but we had lost I wouldn`t have feel positive emotions.

- I guess your phone is full of greetings sms?

- I haven`t checked phone yet, while my team mates have already congratulated me. Tomorrow on the training probably I will be addressed one million jokes because I scored by right leg though my working leg is left.
