Alexander Samedov: ‘I didn’t pay attention to Dzyuba’s kiss’
On the day that followed the 0:1 loss to Austria, Lokomotiv midfielder Alexander Samedov looked sad. The hard season that stretched until mid-June is behind now.
On his first day-off Alexander came at the Lokomotiv Stadium to take part in the filming of the movie about the Russian Cup victory, which is coming soon on Loko-TV. Besides, Alexander answered to several questions of the Press Service.
– The defeat from Austria is now behind. What about the emotions?
– What is there to say… We lost. It’s sad, it’s painful, but in the current situation we have to win in the four games that remain. Yesterday was a bit different from what we counted on. You all saw it.
– It looked like the team played two different halves…
– We played at home and had to score. We slightly changed the formation in half-time and started creating chances. Of course, the second half looked better than the first one but still I think we didn’t have the right to demonstrate such play. There were reasons to that: a central defender got injured, two young players covered that area. But I repeat, we didn’t have the right to play like this.
– I have to ask it: Artyom Dzyuba’s air kiss to you is being much talked about on the Internet…
– You saw it? Much talked about? Seriously?! I didn’t pay attention to it, really. Artyom is a funny guy, he always jokes. How did I react, by the way?
– You were lacing up your boots, concentrated on the warm-ups. You didn’t react.
– Well, yeah, we were losing by that time. My mind was away.
– Are you thinking about the vacation now?
– Yes, they gave us 10-12-day long vacation. I’ll be with the family, take my wife and the son to somewhere warm. Gotta reboot my head.
